PugliArtist II.
Project co-financed by the Puglia Region (Department of Tourism, Economy of Culture and Territorial Enhancement, Section of Economy of Culture) by the Extraordinary 2018 Program on Culture and Entertainment
The project: “PugliArtist II“ is the continuation of the actions developed by the previous PugliArtist and Adrion Art, aimed at creating creative and exhibition itineraries, which favor the relationship with the artists and their context and culminate in the exhibition events organized in the magnificent setting of the Ex Conservatorio Sant ‘Anna, an incubator of experimentation and creativity since the year 1600
With the artistic direction of Emilia Ruggiero and the organizational consultancy of Lorenzo Madaro, PugliArtist II intends to continue its journey by investigating the relationship between man and the surrounding landscape, paying particular attention to the urban suburbs, places for a long time forgotten but currently re-evaluated as an outbreak of innovative ferments and cradle of great artists. The project aims to raise awareness of young and very young people through educational and experiential workshops, as well as workshops, collateral events at exhibitions.
To this end, the artists involved will be asked to interface directly with the young people who will participate in the workshops.
Children learn through direct experience, in a simple and intuitive way; the project, therefore, will be enriched with theoretical and practical workshops to stimulate the interest, curiosity and approach to the artistic techniques and themes of PugliArtist II.
The project will be closed by a second exhibition, dedicated to all the works done by the children during the workshops.
PugliArtist II project is therefore organized into different activities:
1) An exhibition of artists who, according to the unquestionable judgment of the scientific committee, best represent the artistic expression of the Apulian territory;
2) Realization of urban interventions, murals, in degraded urban suburbs.
3) Workshops dedicated to young people;
4) Realization of a KidsExhibition dedicated to the works of the small artists who participated in the workshops
