A conference call to talk about the ancient culture of the Greek Salento, with an eye to the future tools and opportunities for preservation and enhancement of this millennial heritage of Knowledge, developed thanks to the EU project “Pos Matome Griko“
Friday, October 19, 2012 at 19:00 (Italian time) will be held at Palazzo Bernardini, Lecce, the conference“History, Language and Culture of the the Greek speaking areas (Grecìa Salentina) in South Apulia from“ Yesterday “to“ Today “ . Rapporteur of the event will be Professor Isabella Bernardini, scientific coordinator of the project “Pos Matome Griko.“
The event is organized by: “TelEstia“ Estia Gnosis of the Cultural Center of Halkida (Greece), Hellenic Community of Brindisi, Lecce and Taranto and by the Center for the Dissemination of Greek Language and Culture “Dimitris Glaros.“
During of the conference, Professor Bernardini not only will tell the past history, languages and culture of Salento Greece, but will focus on tools and opportunities - both present and future- to protect, preserve and promote this millennial heritage of Knowledge. she will also describe, in this regard, teaching tools and methodologies developed through the EU project “Pos Matome Griko“, of which Prof. Bernardini, as Scientific Director, coordinates and directs the work and studies of the expert team and researchers of the consortium of prestigious international partners.
